Ingredients
- 0.5 cup vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup vinegar (indications are that any work fine, balsamic, red wine, etc.)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1.5 tbsp Worchestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp spicy yellow mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp freshly-ground black pepper
- 1.5 pounds flank steak
Directions:
- In a medium bowl, mix oil, soy sauce, vinegar, lemon juice, Worchestershire sauce, mustard,
garlic, and pepper. Place meat in a large plastic bag and pour marinade over the meat. Seal
the bag and place in the refrigerator (wise move: place the bag inside a container to catch
leaks, if any) for at least six hours and up to one day.
- Preheat grill for medium-high heat.
- Lightly oil the grill grates with canola oil. Place steak on the grill and discard the
marinade. Grill meat for 3-5 minutes per side or to desired level of doneness.
- When done cooking, place the steak on a cutting board or plate and cover loosely with
aluminum foil. Let rest 5 minutes, then slice into strips against the grain and serve
immediately.
